Leila and Pascal's Tetrahedron in Halves
This painting is based on a photograph of my friend Leila, and it is painted on newspaper. The underpaintings describe Pascal's Tetrahedron, and it is the number system that I used in determining how the right half of the painting would be rearranged. Also, since a photograph has a constrained surface, I wanted to play around with where the image stopped and started. With a half of a face on each side of the painting there is an illusion of infinity.
